Ramona’s soul purpose is to uplift people’s hearts and souls through the power of music. Her ability to deeply connect with her audiences creates a concert performance that is both dynamic and healing. Her folk, art-rock, and pop influences combine with her training as a music therapist to deliver empowering songs with messages of hope, self awareness, courage, and transformation.
Throughout her career as a music therapist, Ramona has had the privilege of working with diverse populations including Alzheimer’s and Hospice patients, at risk youth, the mentally ill and children with learning disabilities. These experiences reinforced that music is not only entertaining but holds the power to be healing and transformational as well. She incorporates these concepts into her theme-oriented performances. Her CD “Places I Go” was created specifically for grief management for those who have lost a loved one.
Ramona has performed her original music at a wide range of venues; some of which include Carnegie Recital Hall, The Bitter End, Cafe Wha, Triad Theatre, and The Brokerage Inn. She has also served as a vocal coach while directing youth music shows and led workshops and healing circles at community centers and conferences. She received her music education at Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, NY and later received her music therapy training at Molloy College.
Ramona loves interacting with her audiences and is always inspired by them. Her joyful spirit, along with her warm, engaging stage presence creates an inspirational, positive, and compelling show with universal appeal.
